Re: SpeedingThought you might be interested to know that following the UK Government's freedom of information act you can now get access to ALL speed camera offences registered in the last 12 months.
Did you know that every time your car goes past a speed camera, even 1mph over the set limit, it is registered and put on a database? You only get a ticket if you are way over the limit or, (this is the bit that I didn't know) if you receive over 10 near misses, you will be classed as a serial offender and get a ticket the next time you go just over the limit. This is why you hear of people being done for 34mph in a 30mph limit area, whilst others doing 39 do not. You can check what has been registered against your vehicle at the following web address: http://www.i-database.co.uk/ Just enter your car registration. If there is any data on your vehicle you can click on the camera window to see a copy of the photograph. I am going to find my self if i should get back before i return then please ask me to wait

Re: Speedingi'm wondering if you can get information registered against your licence?
i've been living outside of the UK for a long time and was told i could not register my licence at a non-UK address. my problem is i'm pretty sure i've been done for speeding one or two times since then (hire cars etc.) and i'm kinda wondering how many points i might have. i tried the DVLA a few years ago but they were no help as I didn't have a UK address and they just told me to contact the courts of the area i was clocked in, which is pointless because i have no idea where i was when i got done, other than 'probably somewhere on the M6' which is apparently a little bit vague. )tbh, there's a distinct possibility it might be more than 12 points so i'm not sure if i actually want to know. thinking of re-taking my test here in ireland so i at least have a backup licence in case the UK one goes pear shaped.
Re: Speedingi think this is some thing you shouldnt have said, you never know who is watching or listening in, or proffesions of some members.. its same as the biker filming himself speeding, he got caught and was summonds... O0

Re: Speeding
2 possibilities; 1) you have failed to reply to corespondents and a summons has been issued which you may have missed. If so there may be an arrest warrant or two out for you! 2) there has previously been a court hearing in your absence and you've been found guilty - a warrant will be waiting again! Or you may have been lucky and not caught yet so best not to speed and get stopped and checked ??? Stoxy.
