i know this is an old one but yes iv just changed my 2.8 paj auto for a shoggie sport 2.5 manual so if anyoneis thinking of doing the same here are my impressions.
THE BAD
the 2.5 maual is less grunty through the gears and deffo slower in the traffic light gp  :D.but goes well 3rd gear on . the sport is no where near as plush feeling as the paj with a very bumpy ride.the seating is more car like and not as uprite if you know what i mean .there is no footrest for your left foot  ???.not as much headroom or load space .and its a lot newer(expensive) and im allways worrying about scratching / marking the interior/exterior
THE GOOD
the 2.5 has an electronic pump so can be chipped to give similar performance to the 2.8 (mines on its way  8))
its far more fuel efficient im getting 25 to the gallon thrashing it around town i was only getting between 15-18 out of the paj and according to the bumf its possible to hit 30mpg  :o on a steady run
allthough not as plush the bumpy ride is not as noticable two weeks on and it deffo handles better with a lot less body roll around roundabouts ect
still no where to put me size 10 left foot though ???
i can get what i need inthe load space so not a problem and its slightly lower for my aging rottie to jump into
and its only done 16k so still smells and drives like a new car so all in all i did feel a little sad to see the paj go but the shoggie does put a smile on my face and im more than happy with it  :) :) :)
