The James Smith Memorial Cup

A special event celebrating the knowing of James.

The James Smith Memorial Cup

I have been in touch with the main organisers of this event and donated the attached cup, 'The James Smith Memorial Cup'  this is donated by myself, and isn't from any club, but rather from his many friends in the 4x4 world.

please note, it isn't anything to do with monies donated by one club to the fund when James passed away, that money went, with the knowledge of others , to the flowers on the funeral day from all in the YD clubs, and the rest went as a donation to the new club marquee.

The organiser has mailed all admin of all clubs invited for suggestions as to what to award this for, I personally feel for the spirit of the day etc, which, if James had been on an event, and some one stuck/broken down, he would have stopped himself and sort it out for them, even getting them home after.

Ok, sounds good idea to me Richie. Do we want to make it a yearly thing or something? This could be the start of an annual thing where, as James would have, put inter-club rivalry aside and just got on with our trucks for what they were made for!
