Pajero 2.8 vacuum pump

Hi Folks,
Pajero 2.8 (1994) deisel LWB - 4M40 engine.
After renewing the front seal in the fuel pump we find that we have lost all vacuum in the braking system. It appears that thew vacuum pump is in the habit of having its vanes disintegrate, which upon inspection was the case - vanes completely disintegrated. Mitsibishi dealer says a new pump will cost arounf £270 + VAT !!! So I'm looking for an alternative - reconditioned unit, used unit in good condition, I even noticed somewhere that they were able to get replacement vanes, but I can't locate them anywhere. Main dealer says they can't supply vanes.

Can anybody point me to a supplier of vanes for this pump or a source where I can get a replacement pump at a reasonable price.
