sun roof leak

I have a mk2 1992 swb pajero with a manual sunroof and the problem is when it rains over night the turn handle for operating the sunroof fills with water.It does not leak passed the seal or there wouldbe stains on the headling.does anyone have any ideas ? and how does the interior turn handle come off ?.
Every time you go around a corner you get soaked till its empty

Well many thanks for your replies guys.
The problem has been sorted for the moment.(fingers crossed)
It was the joint in the sunroof seal,I stuck a bit of dum-dum putty in it.
But i am still looking for the captive nut for the sunroof glass.

not sure how the handle comes off to be honest but i would imagine the gasket under the handles mounting point is the culprit maybe just needs re sealing
