Nice on John.  There's no risk of damage as the lanes are mild, however there's a difficult one at Limestone Brae which is worth the trip.

Meeting Hexham train station just off the A69 at 9am.  About 85 miles in total, a mixture of roads and lanes.  Some are very sedate and some just a bit more challenging but nothing to cause a problem.  The only difficult lane is at Limestone Brae, but anyone who does not wish to do it can just park up and watch as you have to come back down the hairpins. 

Packed lunch halfway along, south of Haltwistle. Finish in Alston at teatime and if were lucky the last 1/2 hour might be in the dark.
