Afternoon all,

Thought I would put a few more photos up whilst watching the football!. A slight change of plan. I purchased GTO Turbo heads that bolt straight on. The stock TT ecu should be happier with this setup. Cant believe just how similar all the parts are. The heads match perfectly. I could have just swapped the cam shafts but much browsing the net suggests that the TT heads should flow a little better than the stock N/A heads from the 3.5.

Anyway, this month I have acquired the heads, cams and cam gear etc. An HKS EVC 3 electronic boost controller, turbo timer and HHH data logger. Now I must lay low until next month or the mrs may notice! Hope fully next month will be the forged pistons so I can get the engine build under way. That will depend on the bucks as I have a weeks fishing with mates mid month! :winktong

Anyway heres this afternoons " Dry Fit " (with the old head gaskets) heads onto the block and the turbo manifold/turbo. (Ps the down pipe is going to require modification as clashes with the engine mounts on bot sides).

Cheers

Hec

PS. Is there anybody out there with the 3.5 1994-1996 DOHC engine in a paj/shogun who would be willing to assit in this project by providing me with some photos of their engine/bay and being available to check where vacum hose etc are going to and from. Most are fairly straight forward and obvious but my engine was delivered on a pallet with most of the piping etc removed so I have never seen it installed in a vehilce!.

Cheers

Afternoon all!

Hope your all well. A few more photos. Todays mission was to get a fuel pump rigged up. My 3.0 l v6 has an external petrol pump which is noisy as hell!. So the Turbo v6 had to have an intank fuel pump. I purchased a Walbro 255HP intank fuel pump. As the previous arrangement was for the diesel there was no intank pump or filter so out came the hack saw!.

And on goes the Walbro. still have the sock filter to add prior to fitting intank.

Thanks for the info. I considered the fuel pump from the GTO TT but given the extra engine capacity of the 3.5 I didnt want it to run out of juice at higher RPM and wreck my pistons it prob would have been fine. Hence the Walbro pump. I guess thats something I can look at once she is up and running and I have a fuel controller of some description, ie Greddy Emanage of Apexi . Something to bear in mind though. Thanks for the info :great
