Re: are they as good as they saythe pwr setting gives longer revs between gear changes and if you use hold it will keep it in the gear your in at that time which is great in low box and 4wd to keep it from changing up on decents O0

Re: are they as good as they sayIt might be worth putting something in the wanted section, people quite often have them knocking about. Otherwise Ebay's your best bet
Re: are they as good as they sayHave had a Pajero for 6 years now had 2 x 2.5tdi Super Exceeds. 1x 2.8tdi Fieldmaster (fly by wire)143 bhp and have also got a 2.8 tdi SWB for offroading, the wife wont entertain getting rid of the 2.5 Super Exceed and she loves it, the SWB is more than capable off road and they all have driven faultlessly i have had no faults on any of them, used to tow a big twin axle caravan all over etc with no effort, about 2 years ago i sold our Pajero and bought a 28k Chrysler Grande Voyager with every option nice car, but not as nice as a pajero, we hated it took it back after 3 months and bought another Pajero for

???ive not found mine yet, lookin to spend up to 3k but not settled on the one i want ,i keep gettin grief from people sayin chelsea tractor, wifes school truck, the ride is like a boat, uncomfortable over distance, unreliable, big fuel bills.............but you know what i say?THEN YOU DONT HAVE TO BUY ONE AND DONT ASK ME TO PICK YOUR DIY PURCHASES!!!!I LOVE EM! Ride is like a boat - make sure you get one with H-M-S suspention settings. Personally, I set it to hard for backroads and RABs and then soft to waft along the motorway or over speed bumps! Uncomfortale over distance - Just totaly wrong! LWBs are fine... If you get a swb (as I have) make sure you have adjustable suspention... it can be a bit 'back-to-front bouncy' above 50mph the hard setting... that is why they have the soft setting! Unreliable - Totaly untrue... they must be thinking of LRs ;D or even Nissans these days!... The 2.8s can have a prob with starting on cold mornings! - pump seals... but run fine after you have pumped the air through(drains back to tank) - or get it fixed! Big fuel bills - 20 -30mpg... not the best, but not bad!
Re: are they as good as they sayIve had landies for ages,Discos,90,s and such and ive just swapped my 90 for a swb paj 3.5V6,I thought id always be a landy nut but it just goes to show you how wrong I was!!!Ill not have a landy again,i got sick of the bad reliability, and having no comfort in the green oval............the mitsis are a totally differnt class of 4x4,the only thing that I would say that lets them down offroad is the torsion bar front suspension, but then again toyotas are like this and so are troopers and the list goes on.They are a very very nice motor.
Re: are they as good as they saywell said i just payed 2g on a m reg lwb 2.8td and last week went to france and did 3k miles, the most relaxing and comfortable journey yet felt like i drove down sat in am arm char...lol, also got just short of 600 miles per tank and as im finding out grrrreat fun off road...lol
Re: are they as good as they sayand the add ons never stop, once you get your bullbar, you`ll be after a roofcrate, a rear ladder, spot lights, etc, etc, the list goes on and on, you`ll be looking at body lifts, suspension lifts, M/T tyres. etc.
take a look ) a nissan behind, a ford ? to the left, my paj` on the right. i think the paj` looks 100% the dogs doodars, and the nissan, well that`s up to you. ;D ;D Last edited by Guest on Wed Jul 23, 2008 8:09 am, edited 1 time in total.
